London Indie Book Fair in full swing (Image Credit: Dostoyevsky Wannabe)
The Contemporary Small Press and Dostoyevsky Wannabe’s jointly organised book fair was a blast!
Books were bought, conversations were had, wine was drunk.
Thanks for coming to all the brilliant presses who were there:
And Other Stories; Gallic Books; Nightjar; Arachne Press; Prototype Publishing; PSSSS Books; The 87 Press; Ma Bibliotheque; Ink, Sweat and Tears; Influx; Open Pen; Bookworks; Dostoyevsky Wannabe; Les Fugitives; Fitzcarraldo; Death of Workers Whilst Building Skyscrapers; Boiler House Press; Green Bottle Press; Silver Press; Hotel; Source Magazine; Tilted Axis; Information as Material.
We probably didn't make enough of it on the day as we were more interested in offering the invited small presses a small-scale and relaxed space to sell their books but the fair was partially organised as a soft-launch for the new Contemporary Small Press directory (i.e. this website) in which we hope to work towards a comprehensive directory of small-presses in the UK (we're not there yet and we know there are far more presses to be added so please get in touch if you feel that you'd like your press to be included).
We also aim to conduct occasional interviews with small-presses as well as hopefully utilising this site as a news source for the small-press community.

Thanks to all who attended and bought books. It was fantastic to see how much appetite there was for the work produced by all the presses.
